Emily Reber-Mariniello founded ERM Immigration Law, PLLC, in 2012 and has since exclusively represented clients in immigration and naturalization matters. ERM represents clients throughout the state of Washington and worldwide from Seattle. Emily has been admitted to practice before all Washington State courts since 2010, and the Western District of Washington since 2017.  

In 2016 and 2021 Emily received the “Client’s Choice Award” and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo for the overall quality of her work and her high degree of ethics. In addition, she has been named to The National Advocates: Top 40 Under 40 from 2016-2020, and Top 100 in 2021. Super Lawyers recognized her as a 2019 and 2020 “Rising Star”. Ms. Reber-Mariniello's practice covers a variety of employment- and family-based immigration matters. In her family-based immigration practice, Emily has helped hundreds obtain fiancée visas, green cards, immigrant visas, and citizenship. She has also has successfully handled various types of humanitarian statuses for her clients through asylum, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and VAWA. Emily also handles waivers for various grounds of inadmissibility. Her experience in employment-based matters focuses on E-2 Treaty Investor visas; P visas for entertainers, artists, and athletes; NAFTA Professionals Status (TN); and EB-1 or O Visas for aliens with extraordinary ability EB-2 National Interest Waivers (NIW). 

Before attending college, Emily owned and operated a music events production company in Denver, Colorado. She then enrolled at Colorado State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. While working as a legal assistant and investigator for a Denver criminal defense law firm, she decided to pursue her legal education and subsequently attended Seattle University School of Law. While there, she served internships with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender and the Associated Counsel for the Accused, where she represented clients in therapeutic courts as a “Rule 9” licensed intern. Shortly after being awarded her Juris Doctor in 2010, she established ERM Immigration Law, PLLC.

  • The Minority and Justice Commission seeks to foster and support a fair and bias-free system of justice in the Washington State courts and judicial systems by: 1) identifying bias of racial, ethnic, national origin and similar nature that affects the quality of justice in Washington State courts and judicial systems; 2) taking affirmative steps to address and eliminate such bias, and taking appropriate steps to prevent any reoccurrence of such bias; and 3) working collaboratively with the other Supreme Court Commissions and other justice system partners.   This panel discussed Immigration Issues in Civil, Criminal, And Administrative Court Proceedings.
