Before attending college, Ms. Reber-Mariniello was the owner and operator of a music events production company in Denver, Colorado. She then enrolled at Colorado State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. While working as a legal assistant and investigator for a Denver criminal defense law firm, she decided to pursue her legal education and went on to attend Seattle University School of Law. While she was there, Ms. Reber-Mariniello served internships with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender and the King County Juvenile Court.
