Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Wheat served as a combat medic for the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division. Having served as a medic under fire in an artillery battalion in Iraq, Mr. Wheat is no stranger to operating under high pressure, which serves him well as he fights aggressively to protect the rights and interests of his clients in high-stakes, highly contentious court hearings.
Following his military service, Mr. Wheat attended the University of South Africa, where he received his Bachelor of Laws in 2014. He then returned to the United States and obtained his Master of Laws from the University of Washington School of Law in 2018. He is admitted to practice before all Washington state courts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
Active in his legal community, Mr. Wheat is a member of the King County Judiciary and Litigation Committee and the King County Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association, the National LGBT Bar Association and the Washington State Veterans Bar Association among others.
