Julie A. Kays

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Kays served the people of Washington State for 11 years as senior prosecuting attorney in King County, where her practice focused largely on the prosecution of sexual offenders. Ms. Kays routinely provides pro bono services to crime victims to help them navigate the criminal justice system.

Ms. Kays received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from Seattle University in 1990. She then relocated to Washington, D.C., and worked for United States Senator Slade Gorton, where she worked as a senior legislative assistant. In 1997,  she returned to the Pacific Northwest to attend Seattle University School of Law, and earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2000.
