Kelly Stafford

At the firm Meridian Family Law in Seattle, Washington, attorney Kelly Stafford strives to provide her clients with effective and comforting representation during tough emotional situations. With a focus on family law, she handles complex legal matters such as divorce, custody arrangements and parenting plans, among many others. 

Ms. Stafford completed her undergraduate studies in 2016 at the University of Michigan, where she majored in English language and literature and minored in women’s studies. With a fervent passion to pursue law, she enrolled at the Boston University School of law and received her Juris Doctor in 2019. During her time in law school, she interned at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts as a 3.03 certified student attorney, widening her exposure to the intricacies of the American judicial system. 

Moreover, Ms. Stafford was a staff member of the American Journal of Law & Medicine and served as a notes editor. After law school, she received her license to practice in New York and Washington. She worked in the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Bureau at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney which provided immense exposure to the many diverse cases she’s had to handle. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association.

Ms. Stafford’s prior experience before joining Meridian Family Law instilled a strong moral compass and a compassionate approach to dealing with complex family law issues. She understands that this is an extremely difficult time for her clients as they are going through a significant life change. However, she always looks to make sure their legal problems are handled efficiently and quickly, giving them the confidence that she will handle their legal matter with poise.
