Ms. Costello completed her undergraduate studies in 1987, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Boston College. She went on to attend the Boston University School of Law, where her shrewd legal acumen and talents were strengthened through her active involvement on campus. She received her Juris Doctor in 1991, and in the same year, she obtained her license to practice law in Washington. She later gained admission to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
Soon after entering the legal profession, Ms. Costello joined the King County Department of Public Defense, where she served as a staff attorney for seven years. Her time helping individuals at the lowest moments in their lives for a considerable amount of time ensured that no matter how difficult the obstacles may be, she will pursue every available legal avenue to achieve her clients’ goals.
