One of the founding members of the Washington Appellate Lawyers Association, Linda was also a participating editor and author of two chapters in the Washington Appellate Practice Deskbook. Linda has represented clients in the Washington and Alaska Supreme Courts, all divisions of the Washington Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit. Most recent victories include Mid-Continent Casualty Co. v. Titan Construction Corp., (June 9, 2008), 9th Circuit Memorandum Opinion No. CV-05-01240-MJP (Insurance coverage for construction defects); Callahan v. Saberhagen Holdings, Inc., (June 2, 2008)(Division I, Washington Court of Appeals)(evidentiary issues in personal injury matter); and Schreiner v. Hulbert, et. al.; 9th Circuit Memorandum Opinon No. CV-04-00592-TSZ (June 2005)(judicial immunity/state actor). In addition to successfully managing an appeal from "notice to mandate," Linda has been retained to assist clients and counsel at each stage of an appeal - to monitor trial and assist with preservation of error; to assist with preparation of jury instructions of cases expected to go up on appeal; and to assist counsel with preparation for oral argument. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Linda was a partner at the Lane Powell firm where she had practiced since 1989.
