Mark C. Blair

Founder of Blair & Kim, PLLC, in Seattle, Washington, Mark C. Blair is an attorney who focuses on civil protection orders and domestic violence matters. Additionally, he handles criminal defense matters like assault and battery, criminal fraud, felonies, misdemeanors and theft. Serving clients primarily in Washington, he holds extensive experience in both federal and state courts. 

Starting his career off as a prosecutor in King, Yakima and Thurston counties, Mr. Blair prosecuted a lot of cases and was identified as a tenacious prosecutor. He then moved his way into criminal defense with the aim to completely be able to work on one client at a time. Be it a trial or a settlement, he ensures his energy is completely invested in one case at a time. As an attentive preparer, he believes that an attorney should also be prepared to face any outcome of a legal process. His defense arguments are not just on-point but are also respectful to all parties involved.

Before receiving his Juris Doctor, Ms. Blair gained a master's degree in political science from the University of Hawaii. He then proceeded to join Seattle University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1995. As a former prosecutor and judge pro tempore, he gained ample experience in trials and deep insight into the processes of the prosecution. He understands that prosecutors have one goal – to convict a person and his only goal is to overturn their conviction or reduce the sentence with whatever proof he can collect. 

Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Blair is an active member of the King County Bar Association, the M. Margaret McKeown Federal Bar Association, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Washington Defender Association. His commitment to his profession has earned him recognition on America's Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys list by the American Society of Legal Advocates.
