Patrick B. Reddy is a distinguished founding member of Emery | Reddy, PLLC, based in Seattle, Washington. With a robust legal practice, he focuses on workers’ compensation, employment law, personal injury law and third-party claims across Washington state. He is well-versed in navigating complex legal landscapes, frequently appearing before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA), state Superior Courts, the Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington.
One of Mr. Reddy's notable achievements includes serving as lead trial counsel in the case of Frisino v. Seattle School District No. 1. This pivotal Court of Appeals decision, which was not reviewed by the Supreme Court, underscored the obligation of employers to actively engage in the interactive process of accommodating employees with disabilities, even after initial accommodation efforts may have fallen short. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College in 1999, followed by earning his Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law in 2003. That same year, he was admitted to practice law in Washington, marking the start of his impactful legal career.
A respected figure in the legal community, Mr. Reddy holds memberships in the Washington State Bar Association, the King County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. His commitment to legal service extends to his involvement with the Seattle Legal Clinic, where he contributes to community legal support. His legal acumen has also garnered significant media attention, and his published cases include Frisino v. Seattle School District No. 1, 160 Wn.App 765, 249 P.3d 1044 (2011) and Wade’s Eastside Gun Shop, Inc. v. Department of Labor and Industries, et al., 185 Wn.2d 270, 372 P.3d 97 (2016).
In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Reddy is scored “Superb” on Avvo and holds an AV Preeminent peer-review rating* through Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the high regard in which he is held by his peers and clients alike.

These comments were made by fellow attorneys during the annual nomination process.
“I don't know of anyone in Washington capable of providing sophisticated and practical advice on workers' compensation and employment issues. Few, if any, attorneys in Seattle have his unique combination of deep experience in L&I and employment law. I've witnessed countless times where he has massively improved a workers' comp clients position and award through tactical employment law litigation in state and federal court. Patrick is a truly exceptional attorney who cares deeply about his clients.”
“Patrick is quite simply one of the best litigation attorneys in the state. ”
“In my dealings with Patrick, he has always represented his clients diligently, thoroughly, ethically, and passionately, and always with a practical eye toward efficient resolution. His method of practice is admirable. I have the highest professional regard for Patrick.”
