Pedro Melesio

Pedro Melesio joined Floyd, Pflueger, Kearns, Nedderman, & Gress as an Of Counsel in August 2025.  Pedro is a litigator focused on insurance defense.  He has experience in defending professional malpractice claims including medical, dental, veterinary, real estate, and legal malpractice.

Pedro brings extensive trial experience to the firm, including obtaining a recent defense verdict in a six-week construction defect/design trial. He has participated in 17 jury trials; successfully won summary judgment dismissals on behalf of his clients; prevailed in many appeals in the state Supreme Court and Court of Appeals; and has favorably resolved cases in mediation and arbitration.

Prior to joining the firm, Pedro worked as a public defender for five years providing zealous advocacy for those charged with felony and misdemeanor offenses. He then brought that experience to the civil world practicing at an insurance defense firm before joining Floyd Pflueger.

Pedro graduated cum laude from Seattle University in 2016. He was also a member of the Moot Court Board and a frequent competitor in mock trial and appellate competitions. Pedro was recently selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star.

Pedro is a native of Joliet, Illinois and enjoys taking long outdoor walks, professional wrestling, and spending time with his pets.
