Renee (Tong) Li

With nearly a decade of experience, Renee (Tong) Li works relentlessly to give her clients every opportunity to resolve their legal disputes with grace and poise. At the law office of Carney Badley Spellman, P.S., in Seattle, Washington, she is well-equipped to take on cases involving business law, including business counseling and general corporate litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and startup formation, tax planning and other related matters.

Ms. Li completed her undergraduate studies in 2007, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Nanjing Forestry University. She went on to pursue two master’s degrees from the University of San Francisco (2009) and the University of Warwick (2011), before enrolling in the University of Washington School of Law. During her time in law school, she was the senior managing editor of the Washington International Law Journal, providing her with the insight and the exposure to the groundwork and research required to become a successful legal advocate for her clients.

After receiving her Juris Doctor in 2015 and her license to practice law in Illinois a year later, Ms. Li obtained her license to practice law in Washington in 2019. Standing steadfast and ready, she has cemented a reputation within her legal community as a tenacious advocate who emphasizes personalized attention and meticulous focus to every case she takes on, ensuring her clients are well-informed and looked after throughout the duration of their legal proceedings. Outside her law practice, she maintains close affiliations with organizations such as the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association.
