Susan J. Shulenberger

As counsel at Meridian Family Law, Susan J. Shulenberger handles cases of family law in Seattle, Washington, and King County. With an Avvo “Superb” rating, she focuses on complex family law involving assets such as professional practices, stock options, real estate, ownership interests in different legal entities, management of closely held businesses, and the effects of these things on distribution and valuation during divorce.  Much of her practice is Collaborative Divorce.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington, Ms. Shulenberger then attended the University of Puget Sound. There, she graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor and has been admitted to practice in the state of Washington since 1982. For her high ethical standards and long list of successful results, she holds the highest peer rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell.

Ms. Shulenberger is a current member of the family law section of the King County Bar Association (KCBA), the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), King County Collaborative Law and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She previously served on the WSBA professionalism committee, the character and fitness board, the rules of professional conduct committee, and the KCBA gender equality in law committee and the judicial recommendation committee.

Throughout her career, Ms. Shulenberger has represented clients in financially complicated divorces.   She has also presented to various organizations regarding divorce litigation, including the National Business Institute Continuing Legal Education seminar and the WSBA Continuing Legal Education seminar. With a compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled approach, she helps her clients stay away from needless struggles in family law matters.
