Tim Billick is an intellectual property attorney based in Seattle, Washington. He is a partner at the firm Practus LLP. Tim handles a diverse range of intellectual property disputes involving business litigation, entertainment contracts, information technology, patents and trademarks.  Tim advises clients of all sizes on patents, trademarks, copyrights, contracts, and licensing. Tim leverages his extensive jury trial and appellate argument experience to guide his clients through the process of IP acquisition and enforcement.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, Mr. Billick received his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law. While pursuing his law degree, he served as an editor for the Washington Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and participated in the Washington Technology Law and Public Policy Clinic. Additionally, Mr. Billick gained legal experience during law school by working as an extern for a federal judge, as well as the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection and the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office Criminal Division.

Mr. Billick has given presentations on intellectual property law topics for the King County Bar Association, the 2019 GeekGirlCon, and the 2021 International Intellectual Property Association's Annual Summit. He is a member of the Copyright Society of the USA, the International Trademark Association and Washington Lawyers for the Arts. He served as chair of the King County Bar Association Intellectual Property Section from 2016-2018. In addition to his legal career, Mr. Billick is also a musician and builder of electronic devices for musicians.
