Wil Miller

After graduating from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in both mass communications, and Germanic languages and literatures, Mr. Miller enrolled at the Duke University School of Law to hone his legal skills. He earned his Juris Doctor in 1988 and earned his license to practice law in Washington in 1995. For the first ten years of his practice, he served as a prosecutor in New York City and Seattle, where he tried criminal cases. Later in 2010, he shifted his focus to practicing family law in Washington.

Among the cases that Mr. Miller has tried, most notably, he won an attorney fee award of $180,000 for bad faith and intransigence on behalf of his client. His practice encompasses understanding his client’s goal and strategizing an apt approach to achieve the same. His “Superb” rating on Avvo stands as a testament to his commitment. Among his other accolades, he was awarded the Spotlight Award by Collaborative Professionals of Washington in 2022 and was recognized on the Best Family Law Attorneys in Washington State list by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2017.

Mr. Miller’s recent involvement with the legal community includes his service as chair of the King County Bar Association Collaborative Law Section and as chair of the Washington State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is also a founding board member of Washington Lawyers Assisting Lawyers. This organization aims to support attorneys struggling with mental health and substance abuse by offering peer counseling.
