As managing principal of Munding, P.S., John D. Munding handles cases of bankruptcy, creditor and debtor rights, and business litigation in eastern Washington. He has over 30 years of experience examining and learning about the relationship between creditors and debtors along with non-bankruptcy workouts, Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Chapter 11 bankruptcy and complex civil litigation. Mr. Munding has also served as a state court receiver, a Chapter 7 & 11 trustee and an independent fiduciary.
At Santa Clara University, Mr. Munding earned his Bachelor of Science in economics in 1988. While in law school at Gonzaga University School of Law, he gained international experience during the summer with the Santa Clara University Law School – National University of Singapore. In 1991, he graduated from Gonzaga with his Juris Doctor.
An active professional determined to improve his knowledge of the law, Mr. Munding is a member of many professional organizations. These include the American Bankruptcy Institute, the State Bar of California, the Idaho Debtor Creditor Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar, the Washington State Bar Association Creditor Debtor Rights Section, the Eastern District of the Washington Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association.
Mr. Munding is actively admitted to practice before the United States District Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; federal and state courts in Idaho, Washington and California; and the 9th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. The Idaho State Bar’s Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section gave him the Professionalism Award in 2012 and he has provided expert testimony related to the reasonableness of attorney fees and the professional standard of care.
Mr. Munding is a debt relief agent. He helps people file for bankruptcy relief under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
