Details
A partner at McKinley Irvin, Cameron J. Fleury focuses his practice exclusively on family law matters. Working out of the firm's office in Tacoma, Washington, he provides advice and counsel to residents of Pierce County and its surrounding areas. Mr. Fleury has been admitted to practice before all Washington state courts since 1993.
A significant portion of Mr. Fleury's client base is comprised of people who are facing the end of their marriages and who are thus having to deal with such divorce-related issues as child custody and visitation, the division of complex assets and debts, and spousal and child support. His extensive experience in mediation and negotiations often allows him to help them to reach an accord on those matters through those methods of alternative dispute resolution, but he is also a forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf when litigation becomes necessary. In addition to his divorce practice, Mr. Fleury represents clients whose marriages have already been dissolved and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing parenting divorce orders. His family law experience has also encompassed the preparation and review of prenuptial agreements and the obtaining of protective orders for clients who have been the victims of domestic violence.
Mr. Fleury has earned a great deal of recognition from his colleagues for his successful track record in what are often sensitive and contentious matters. He has received a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo and a Distinguished* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. A native of Washington, Mr. Fleury holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington and a Juris Doctor from what was then known as the University of Puget Sound School of Law.
