A 2006 graduate of the University of Washington at Seattle, Mr. Gilman obtained his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2009, graduating as a member of The Order of Barristers. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington as well as the Washington Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Mr. Gilman is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association, where he has served on the executive committee of the organization's Litigation Section. He is also a member of the Washington Employment Lawyers Association, the Pierce County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington. He is a member of the EAGLE program through the Washington Association for Justice as well as a member of the American Inns of Court.

Mr. Gilman has served as president of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Foundation and co-chair of the Pierce County Law Firm Campaign for Equal Justice and is a member of the University of Washington School of Law 1L Mentor Program. He is currently a board member of the Campaign for Equal Justice for the Legal Foundation of Washington.
