Ian Leifer

Ian Leifer is an experienced trial lawyer who litigates complex cases in both state and federal courts throughout Washington. He has successfully tried multiple cases to verdict and argued—and won—before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ian has resolved numerous seven and eight figure cases in the last few years.

Ian’s practice focuses on insurance coverage disputes, serious personal injury and wrongful death claims, and business and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice in all Washington state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

A lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, Ian began his career in the insurance industry, working for a large national insurer in a management role before turning to law. He brings that insider knowledge to every case he handles, offering clients a unique advantage in coverage and litigation matters.

Ian graduated with high honors from Seattle University School of Law, where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society and served as an Article Editor for the Seattle Journal for Social Justice. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington.

Outside of his legal practice, Ian lives in Burien with his wife, Kristal, their two children, Lydia and Grant, and their Cavaliers, Winston and Ferguson. He enjoys working out, playing basketball, and reading.
