Mr. Smith completed his undergraduate studies in 1995, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University and went on to enroll in the Seattle University School of Law, where he strengthened his legal acumen and foundations that still inform his practice today. He received his Juris Doctor in 1999, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in Washington. He later became licensed to practice law in Oregon, Idaho and New Mexico.
