Jamison Cooper

Jamison H. Cooper is one of the principal attorneys at Cooper Law Offices, PLLC, located in Bridgeport, West Virginia. She has a sterling reputation as a civil litigator, and she has experience in assisting area residents and companies in a variety of different matters. Ms. Cooper has provided defense representation to attorneys, health care practitioners, appraisers and accountants who have been sued for professional malpractice, and she also has appeared on their behalf before state disciplinary bodies.  She has also litigated cases arising out of personal injury or wrongful death, and she is well versed in insurance coverage disputes and breach of contract actions. Ms. Cooper also guides area residents through the adoption process.

Ms. Cooper attended James Madison University as an undergraduate, majoring in English and political science and obtaining a Bachelor of Science in 1996. She then pursued her legal studies at West Virginia University College of Law, where she was a member of the school's Moot Court Board and won several competitions before being awarded her Juris Doctor in 1999. Upon graduation, Ms. Cooper was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for her academic achievements.

Before entering private practice, Ms. Cooper clerked for a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
