Stephen G. Skinner

As a partner at the Skinner Law Firm, Stephen G. Skinner is committed to representing injured people. His practice is focused on personal injury and wrongful death cases, including consumer and products liability cases.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1990, Mr. Skinner earned a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1994.

Across the country, Mr. Skinner has demonstrated his dedication to securing compensation for victims of wrongdoing. He has represented victims of airline disasters and other catastrophic events, including the 9/11 attacks. Mr. Skinner's goal is to enable clients to focus on their own recovery while he tackles the legal aspects of their case. Decades of experience and innovative thinking have helped Mr. Skinner consistently return favorable results for people who have suffered a personal injury.

For his many accomplishments, the West Virginia Association for Justice presented Mr. Skinner with the Stanley E. Preiser Member of the Year Award in 2014.

Mr. Skinner is active in the legal community. He holds memberships with the The National Trial Lawyers West Virginia Top 100, Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC, the American Association for Justice, the West Virginia Association for Justice, Maryland Association for Justice and Public Justice.

Outside the legal community, Mr. Skinner is involved in advocacy for the arts and civil rights. He received the Living the Dream Award for Human and Civil Rights from the West Virginia Martin Luther King, Jr. State Holiday Commission in 2011, and in 2014, Mr. Skinner was honored with a Legislative Leadership Award for Lifetime Achievement from the West Virginia Governor's Arts Awards.  Mr. Skinner served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2012 through 2016.
