She is admitted to practice before all West Virginia state courts as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

    A leader in her legal community, Ms. Ranson is the chair of the West Virginia State Bar's Family Law Committee as well as chair of the Marital Property Committee of the American Bar Association's Family Law Section. She is also a fellow with the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and she served on the West Virginia Ethics Commission from 1989 to 1991.
