Taylor B. Downs

Attorney Taylor B. Downs is a partner at West Virginia's Manchin Injury Law Group PLLC. At the firm, located in Fairmont, Mr. Downs focuses his efforts on protecting the rights of victims of negligence living in Maron County and throughout West Virginia. He regularly represents the interests of victims and the families of fatally injured victims in actions related to the following:

• Medical malpractice
• Industrial accidents
• Premises and product liability
• Mining accidents
• Oil and gas accidents

Mr. Downs began his legal career in 2011 after earning his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law and his admission to The West Virginia State Bar. In addition to his approval to practice in all of West Virginia's state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia have also approved him to practice in their courtrooms.

Attorney Downs joined Manchin Injury Law Group PLLC soon after passing the bar exam. Over the past four years, he has already built a reputation as one of the region's leading young attorneys. He has a "Superb" rating from Avvo, and The National Trial Lawyers has included him on its list of the nation's top attorneys under 40 for the past two years. In addition, the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys lists him among the top 10 personal injury attorneys under 40 in West Virginia.

In addition to his busy practice, Mr. Downs is also an active member of the legal community. He is a member of the West Virginia Association for Justice, where he serves on the board of governors.  Mr. Downs is also a member of the American Association for Justice where he serves on the board of governors.
