Admitted to practice in the state courts of West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky, Mr. Lovejoy has also appeared before federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Lovejoy has represented clients in cases involving burn injuries, defective products, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, workplace injury and other civil litigation matters. He has also litigated insurance matters, including bad faith claims.

Active outside of his law practice, Mr. Lovejoy has served an adjunct professor at Marshall University Community and Technical College and lectures for various West Virginia-based legal groups. He is a member of professional organizations, including the West Virginia State Bar, the Kentucky Colonels and the American Association for Justice. In addition, he serves on the Boards of Directors for the Huntington City Mission - a Gospel Rescue Mission, Scottish Rite Foundation for the Marshall University Children's Speech & Hearing Center, and First Stage (Children's) Theatre Company.

First elected in 2016, Mr. Lovejoy also serves in the West Virginia Legislature as the Delegate for the Seventeenth (17th) House District, representing parts of Cabell and Wayne Counties.
