Ryan J. Umina established his law firm, Umina Legal, with a vision to diligently advocate for the rights and best interests of the residents of Morgantown, West Virginia. Licensed to practice in all the state courts of West Virginia since 2016, he has also appeared before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia. Later, in 2016, he received his Juris Doctor degree from West Virginia University. As an outstanding law student, he took part in several moot court competitions, won the prestigious Lugar Cup in 2016 (WVU College of Law Trial Competition) and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers

Mr. Umina served at a few renowned West Virginia law firms before starting his own practice. As a student attorney, he interned at the West Virginia 16th Judicial Circuit and served in the WVU College of Law General Practice Legal Clinic. 

Mr. Umina stays active in his legal community by maintaining memberships in professional organizations such as the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. He also volunteers to provide pro bono services to underprivileged and underrepresented groups. He functioned as the Monongalia County Fiduciary Commissioner and was among the board of directors of West Virginia Public Theatre.
