Dana A. Rusen

Dana A. Rusen is an associate at Carey & Stewart PLLC in Weirton, West Virginia, providing skilled and assertive legal representation in matters involving personal injury, family law disputes and criminal defense. Raised in Shadyside, Ohio, she earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Mount Union in 2016. During her time there, she was actively involved in the Alpha Xi Delta social sorority and the Pi Sigma Alpha and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies.

She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University in 2019. In the same year, she earned a Master of Law in international and European business law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain, graduating at the top of her class and receiving the Concesión Premio Extraordinario award.

Licensed to practice in the state courts of West Virginia, Ohio and New York, she brings a strong and diverse legal background. Her professional experience includes work with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in the Child Support Unit, where she developed experience in child support calculations. She also served with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio under the supervision of District Attorney Justin Herdman.

Before beginning her legal career, she worked with a nonprofit organization in Belmont County, Ohio, assisting individuals with special needs in obtaining and maintaining employment within the community.
