He has served as lecturer of 4th Amendment rights for the U.S. Department of Justice as well as guest lecturer with the University of Wisconsin Law School and Wisconsin Judicial Education. He has also served on the Wisconsin Supreme Court Task Force on Public Trust & Confidence and the State Bar of Wisconsin Task Force on Judicial Selection.

Mr. Troy is an active member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Association for Justice, among his other professional affiliations. He is also highly involved with his local United Way and YMCA as well as NAMI of Fox Valley, and he founded the Clean Break juvenile diversion program.
