Prior to obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1987 from Marquette University Law School, Mr. Liotta completed his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in 1984 at Carroll University. Having earned his license to practice in Wisconsin in 1987, he is admitted before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of Illinois, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.
A seasoned and highly skilled professional, Mr. Liotta offers client-focused solutions with the unique insights gained over his 30-plus yearslong career. He has represented his clients successfully in a variety of complex cases in the federal and state courts, as well as in front of the Wisconsin Division of Securities, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance.
Mr. Liotta is active in an array of bar associations and law-related organizations, including the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association and the Marquette Law School Alumni Association Board. He has held key positions in the city of Brookfield’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, the Healthy Families of Waukesha County Inc. and the Elmbrook Humane Society Inc. He has written and presented on evolving legal topics in various forums.
