Ali Ellefsen

Ali Ellefsen serves the residents of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, as a skilled attorney and owner of Ellefsen & Associates, LLC. She offers diligent and committed legal representation to clients in estate planning, product liability, and personal injury matters. 

Ms. Ellefsen is prepared to guide her clients through a full spectrum of Wisconsin estate planning and probate services ranging from wills, trusts, powers of attorney to the declaration of guardianship, estate administration – and everything in between. She offers smart estate planning services, giving her clients peace of mind and confidence that everything is done right. 

In her civil litigation practice, Ms. Ellefsen has been successful in obtaining favorable results for her clients in claims involving defective products, weapons accidents, burns and explosions, car and truck wrecks, ATV and snowmobile crashes, hunting accidents and more. She has obtained some pathbreaking results on behalf of her clients, including a $2.14 million settlement in a Cumberland explosion case, an $826,246.20 verdict in a vehicle collision case, and a $525,000 verdict in a property damage case. In November of 2025, she secured a $3,650,000 settlement in a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Clairmont Avenue in Eau Claire. 

A native of Stanley, Wisconsin, Ms. Ellefsen obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and began working as a paralegal at Guelzow Law Offices in 2009. Her work at the firm solidified her urge to cater comprehensive legal services to those in need. She then enrolled in law school at Mitchell Hamline in St. Paul, MN to pursue her legal education. She graduated with her Juris Doctor and became authorized to practice law in Wisconsin in 2017 and later in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.

When not lawyering, Ms. Ellefsen speaks and presents at several seminars on estate planning topics. She is the former president and secretary of the Eau Claire County Bar Association. She also provides free legal consultations as a volunteer at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library’s Free Legal Clinic in Eau Claire.
