Byron Conway is a shareholder of the firm. His practice includes a wide variety of civil litigation including, complex multi-party tort claims, auto accidents, and nursing home neglect cases. Byron has tried cases before juries throughout the State of Wisconsin. In 2017, Byron obtained a jury verdict of more than 1.1 million dollars in an Oconto County case involving a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. It is one of the largest jury verdicts in the history of that County.  Due to his extensive experience, Byron has been certified as a Civil Trial Specialist with the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

In 2014 and again in 2019, Byron was named one of the “Top 50 attorneys in Wisconsin” in the Wisconsin Super Lawyers feature published in Milwaukee Magazine. In 2016, Byron was elected as a Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation. The Fellows of the Wisconsin Law Foundation is an honorary program that recognizes members of the profession in Wisconsin who are known by their peers for high achievements in their profession. Fellows membership is limited to 2.5% of the State Bar’s total members. In 2017 Byron was elected to the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation. From 2007 to 2012, Byron was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star. He has been named a Super Lawyer every year since 2013.

Byron is active in local and state bar leadership roles. In 2013, Byron was appointed as the Brown County District representative to the State Bar Board of Governors. The Board of Governors manages and directs the affairs of the State Bar of Wisconsin. He served in that position through 2018. Byron is a past president of the Brown County Bar Association. He also served four years on the Brown County Bar Association Executive Committee. Byron is also a past president of the Brown County Young Lawyers Association

Byron obtained his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University in California where he majored in Journalism. He obtained his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2002. He has been practicing in the firm’s Green Bay office since 2006.

  • Obtained $650,000 settlement for 48 year old female passenger on a motorcycle that lost control when cut off by another vehicle. Client sustained wrist and shoulder injuries which prevented her from returning to her job as an industrial laborer., 2013
  • Zehren v. American Family Plaintiff sustained soft tissue injuries in an auto accident. Plaintiff incurred $145,000 in medical expenses. Disputed issues were medical causation and future medical care.  Obtained $400,000 settlement., 2012
  • $450,000 settlement for injured 41 year old male driver of a vehicle struck while traveling through an intersection with the right of way.  The at fault driver failed to yield.  Client sustained compound tibia fibula fracture.  Client developed complex regional pain syndrome which required implant of permanent spinal cord stimulator., 2013
  • Obtained $419,000 verdict in Door County for a woman who sustained serious knee injury in a motor vehicle accident where an oncoming vehicle lost control in snowy conditions and struck her head on., 2016

  • Represented 9 year-old girl who was attacked by dog, resulting in scar on lip.  Case was tried before an Oconto County jury. Rejected $45,000 offer prior to trial.  Jury awarded $63,529.50.  The verdict was doubled due to a prior attack by the dog.  Total verdict $127,059., 2012
  • Zettel v. Secura Insurance Premises liability case involving issues of contributory negligence. Defendants claimed that Plaintiff was negligent in looking out for her own safety. Plaintiff claimed defendant's premises was unsafe. No settlement offer prior to trial. Brown County jury apportioned a 50-50 negligence spilt, allowing plaintiff to recover half of the $55,789 verdict., 2012
