Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)
- $265,000, after the client was T-boned by a driver who ran a red light, suffering serious neck injuries that required surgery. The insurance company argued that the driver who ran the red light was not at fault due to visual obstructions in the intersection. They also argued that many of the injuries were pre-existing. Attorney Domol rejected these arguments and secured a settlement at mediation.
- $250,000 policy limits settlement for a pedestrian who was struck by a drunk driver in the parking lot of a tavern. The insurance company denied the claim and argued that the vehicle involved in the accident was uninsured. I filed a lawsuit and proved that the vehicle was insured at the time of the accident, 2017.
- $415,000 jury verdict in Outagamie County for a woman whose pre-existing neck pain and headaches were made worse by a rear-end crash. The insurance company argued that the crash did not aggravate my client's neck pain and headaches. The insurance company offered $75,000 to settle the case days before trial began, 2016.
- $98,000 jury verdict in Oconto County for a woman who suffered neck injuries in a three-car accident. The drivers of the vehicles blamed snowy road conditions for the crash and would not take responsibility. The defendants also hired an expert doctor to testify that my client’s neck injuries predated the crash, 2017.
- $158,000 jury verdict in Outagamie County for a man who suffered a knee injury in a T-bone accident. My client underwent a total knee replacement surgery a few months before the crash. We argued that a component of the artificial knee was knocked loose in the accident and required surgical repair. The insurance company hired an expert who testified that the artificial knee component was not dislodged in the accident, 2015.
- $500,000 policy limits settlement for a motorcycle rider who suffered serious knee injuries. My client underwent knee surgery and his doctor gave the opinion that he would require another surgery in the future. The settlement was reached shortly after a lawsuit was filed, 2017.
