Jennifer Lough

Focusing her practice exclusively on criminal defense matters, Jennifer Lough is a partner at Schroeder & Lough. Located in La Crosse, Wisconsin, she furnishes advice and counsel people throughout the state. Attorney Lough has been admitted to practice before all Wisconsin state courts since 2006.

Attorney Lough represents clients who have been charged by the state with having committed misdemeanor or felony offenses. The types of cases that she has worked on during her tenure in private practice have included domestic violence, operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, sexual assault, drug possession and distribution, weapons violations and white collar crimes, and she has been able to obtain positive results in many of these instances, including acquittals as well as through the negotiation of favorable plea agreements with the prosecutor.

Attorney Lough has spent more than five years as a prosecutor with the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office, where she chaired many complex jury trials. This experience has allowed her to often anticipate the types of tactics that the state will employ against her defendant clients, and her successes in private practice have earned her the recognition of her fellow attorneys, including a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.

Attorney Lough majored in psychology and criminology at Marquette University in Milwaukee and received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude in 2000. After graduation, she joined the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office where she served as a victim's rights specialist with the domestic violence unit before deciding to pursue her legal education at Marquette University Law School. A 2006 recipient of a Juris Doctor cum laude, Attorney Lough is also a past president of the La Crosse County Bar Association.
