Cedric brings a background in education to his legal practice. His teaching experience allows him to understand the unique needs of diverse families, individuals, and students. His previous role at a nationwide family law firm provided him with the skills to guide families towards collaborative solutions, and when necessary, to litigate aggressively. In every case, Cedric advocates for putting the child’s rights and well-being as the paramount consideration.
Cedric devotes most of his practice to family law, including divorce, post-paternity, custody and placement, complex property division, guardianships, third-party visitation, and guardian ad litem appointments. He also has significant experience in special education disputes, probate administration, and marital property agreements. He is licensed in Wisconsin.
Professional Memberships
Cedric is a member of the Dane County Bar Association and a member of its Law for the Public Section. He is also a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin Family Law Section Board, an elected position. In 2026, Cedric was selected as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers. This award is only given to approximately 2.5% of attorneys in each state, nationwide, under the age of 40 or 10 years practicing.
Although he is now an attorney, Cedric still finds time to teach. Cedric acts as a guest lecturer on Family Law Practice at the University of Wisconsin Law School. He has also taught a section of Law, Politics, and Society for the University of Wisconsin Madison’s Legal Studies Department. Cedric is also the author of “Bougie Firms and Black-Box Salaries: Avoiding Another Sixty Years of Gender-Based Pay Discrimination,” which was published in the fall 2022 edition of the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender, and Society.
Education
Cedric earned his law degree cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School. During law school, Cedric worked in clinics and at a non-profit firm providing family law advocacy to vulnerable members of the community. He was also the Senior Managing Articles Editor for the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender, and Society. Cedric completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, earning a B.A. in Education magna cum laude.
