Attorney David Kowalski is the founder of Kowalski Family Law in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. Kowalski works with matters involving divorce, child support, cohabitation disputes, restraining orders and other family law issues. He represents clients in Madison and the surrounding counties in litigation, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration.

After graduating from Rutgers University, Mr. Kowalski worked in New York City at various legal firms before earning his law degree from Marquette University Law School. He has been licensed to practice in Wisconsin since 2007 and has been certified in collaborative family law from the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin.

Committed to professional education, Mr. Kowalski has served as an adjunct professor at Globe University, and has given lectures and presentations for various legal groups including the State Bar of Wisconsin. He has also authored articles published in a variety of publications. In 2010, he attended the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers community property symposium in Seattle as Wisconsin's representative.

Active in his professional community, Mr. Kowalski belongs to the Dane County Bar Association and has served as a board member for the group's technology, courthouse, and delivery of legal services committees.  From 2011-2017, he was a board member for the State Bar of Wisconsin's Children & the Law Section, and now serves as a board member for the Family Law Section. He has also served as a board member for the Wisconsin Supreme Court's Office of Lawyer Regulation.

Mr. Kowalski has participated in community organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He also volunteers with local legal organizations including the Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Dane County Bar Association's Family Law Assistance Center.
