Attorney David Kowalski is the founder of Kowalski, Wilson & Vang, LLC, with offices in Madison and Baraboo, Wisconsin. Mr. Kowalski works with matters involving divorce, child support, cohabitation disputes, restraining orders and other family law issues. He represents clients in family court litigation, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration.

After graduating from Rutgers University, Mr. Kowalski worked in New York City at various legal firms before earning his law degree from Marquette University Law School. He has been licensed to practice in Wisconsin since 2007 and is certified in collaborative family law from the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin.

Committed to professional education, Mr. Kowalski has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School, and has given lectures and presentations for various legal groups including the State Bar of Wisconsin. He has also authored articles published in a variety of publications. In 2010, he was Wisconsin's representative to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers community property symposium in Seattle.

Active in his professional community, Mr. Kowalski belongs to the Dane County Bar Association and has served as a board member for the group's technology, courthouse, and delivery of legal services committees.  From 2011-2017, he was a board member for the State Bar of Wisconsin's Children & the Law Section, and a board member for the Wisconsin Supreme Court's Office of Lawyer Regulation.  Since 2018, he has been a board member of the Family Law Section of the WI State Bar, specifically as Secretary, Treasurer, and now President.
