    Eric Ryberg is a shareholder in the firm and Co-Managing Partner of the Madison office. He has successfully tried personal injury cases in Dane, Rock, Sauk, Waukesha, Eau Claire, Dunn, Jefferson, Iowa, Brown and Kenosha counties. He is admitted to practice before the State of Wisconsin and the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.

    Eric currently serves on the board of directors of the State Bar of Wisconsin Litigation Section.  He is a Past President of the Dane County Bar Association. He is a Fellow in the Wisconsin Law Foundation. Eric is also a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He has taught trial advocacy and served as a mock trial coach at the University of Wisconsin Law School.

    In 2011, Eric was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of the 25 Up and Coming lawyers in the state and has been selected as a Rising Star in the Wisconsin Super Lawyers publication by Milwaukee Magazine from 2010 - 2012. He also has been named a Wisconsin Super Lawyer since 2013, including being named to the Super Lawyers Top 25 Madison list in 2014. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers 2021 edition for personal injury litigation - plaintiffs: Madison. In 2019, Eric was trial counsel on a team that obtained a $14.49 million verdict in a Kenosha County medical malpractice case, which was the 75th largest verdict in the country that year and the 17th biggest medical malpractice verdict in 2019.

    Eric was born and raised in Wisconsin and is a graduate of Regis High School in Eau Claire. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Political Science from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, graduating summa cum laude. Eric received his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating Order of the Coif, cum laude, and in the top 15% of his class. He received the Abner Brodie Award for outstanding achievement in legal study and practical application of law.

    When Eric isn’t practicing litigation, you can find him playing tennis, golfing and cheering on the Badgers. He resides in Oregon with his wife and two children.
