She then attended the Mitchell Hamline School of Law and graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor in 2014.

While in law school, she was the Hamline Child Advocacy Clinic’s Student Director. Long before law school, Ms. Baker advocated for children and families both in the court system and in the community. She advocated for abused and neglected children as a volunteer and as a foster parent. Her work as a volunteer coordinator for homeless families with children gave her insight into the challenges faced by families in Dane County in finding basic resources and gave her a profound respect for parents working to meet their children’s needs in the midst of chaos.

Ms. Baker serves on the Board of the Children and the Law Section of the State Bar, an elected position. She also served on the Board of the Wisconsin CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) from 2014 to 2018. 

Admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin, Ms. Baker gives back to her community in many ways. She is involved with the Student Expulsion Prevention Project and the Wisconsin Pro Bono Society.
