Megan is owner and founder of Phillips Law Group, focusing on family law and litigation. Megan also defends healthcare workers and other licensed professionals in board cases within the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).
Megan has taught negotiations and mediation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School since 2013. She also frequently presents on negotiation and mediation topics for other lawyers and professionals. Megan serves as a mediator in family law and litigation cases, for both represented and unrepresented parties.
Before her law career, Megan received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After working as a paralegal in Madison following college, she returned to her alma mater for law school and graduated in 2010.
Through many years of successful law practice, Megan achieved a "Superb" rating from the lawyer rating website called Avvo. She was also named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for eight consecutive years from 2015-2023, a distinction reserved for 2.5% of attorneys statewide. In 2024, Megan received the title of Wisconsin Super Lawyer, awarded to only 10% of Wisconsin lawyers with a decade or more of practice experience.
She is also a published author in many forums, including The Verdict, The Wisconsin Law Journal and Forbes. Megan is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Dane County Sexual Violence Resource Center. She is also an active volunteer at the Family Law Assistance Center in Dane County and in the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin.
In her free time, Megan enjoys singing Bluey tunes with her toddler daughter, coaching her son’s soccer team, playing tennis and collecting passport stamps.
