Attorney Polich is a respected leader in the legal community. He is the past Chair of the Wisconsin Association for Justice Program Committee and is currently a member of that organization’s Board of Directors. Attorney Polich is a 1998 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School, where he received the Leon Feingold Public Interest Student Award and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Polich is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars for attorneys practicing in litigation fields. He also has written a number of articles on legal topics for the trial lawyers’ Wisconsin publication, The Verdict. Polich is also the author of Chapter 9: Medical, Hospital and Related Expenses, of the Law of Damages, published by the State Bar of Wisconsin.
In his spare time, Attorney Polich enjoys the outdoors, including running and cross country skiing. He also enjoys reading, traveling, and attending theater and music performances.

- Confidential Settlement: $ 4,000,000. Third-party accounting malpractice case involved small businesses that had organized a separate entity to provide loan services to their customers. A settlement was reached several weeks before a scheduled jury trial. The parties engaged in mediation conducted by former judge Daniel Moeser, and the matter was resolved for $4,000,000 with no admission of liability by the accounting firm.Case historyThe plaintiffs were shareholders in the loan-service company who had invested money. They alleged that, over several years, inside management at the business engaged in fraudulent schemes that caused it to fail. The plaintiffs further alleged that the accounting firm responsible for auditing the company's financial statements was negligent in failing to detect and disclose the fraud.According to the plaintiffs’ accounting expert, the accounting firm's audit reports were "woefully inadequate." The expert stated that the accounting firm negligently failed to detect fraudulent transactions, and unauthorized withdrawals of cash and skimming of cash by inside management. The expert also said the accounting firm’s audits were "materially false and misleading." The plaintiffs claimed that, although the accounting firm performed services for the separate entity, it breached multiple duties to the investors by failing to detect and disclose the fraudulent conduct., 2014
