Benjamin Payne

Ben Payne practices equal parts creditor and debtor work - most of his cases involving a financially struggling business or bankruptcy litigation.  His creditor clients include banks, leasing companies, suppliers, and individuals asserting their rights in a bankruptcy or receivership case.  His debtor clients include financially troubled businesses trying to restructure their debt in bankruptcy, receivership, or workouts, and individuals in need of Chapter 7, 11, or 13 bankruptcy relief.  Ben is a frequent presenter at bankruptcy seminars, sits on the Board of Directors of the Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Creditors' Rights section of the State Bar, and is co-chair of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association.  Ben has  an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and received his Juris Doctor from Marquette Law School.  He is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin and to the Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the Northeastern District of Illinois.  He has been admitted pro hac vice to Bankruptcy Courts around the country representing creditor clients in bankruptcy cases.
