Casey P. Shorts

Casey P. Shorts is a determined and skilled personal injury attorney who fights for the rights of those injured. As an attorney and partner at The Previant Law Firm, S.C., he assists with a wide range of matters involving personal injury, construction accidents, wrongful death, product liability, workers’ compensation, and mass torts.

Mr. Shorts frequently provides legal counsel to individuals and public organizations in multidistrict litigation and class action proceedings. He has taken part in hundreds of cases and has achieved successful outcomes through high settlements and verdicts for his clients. He has earned a reputation for standing by his clients’ sides through tough periods caused by accidents or disabilities, and tenaciously advocating for their health, welfare and rightful compensation.

Mr. Shorts completed his Bachelor of Arts in journalism and political science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2009.  He received his Juris Doctor in 2014 from Marquette University Law School, where he was a member of the Pro Bono Society and the Student Veteran Society, and was a recipient of two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. He obtained his license to practice law in Wisconsin in 2014 as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Shorts worked in Washington D.C. for U.S. Congressman David Obey and U.S. Senator Herb Kohl. 

Mr. Shorts is very active in his legal community, serving as president of the Wisconsin Association of Workers Compensation Attorneys. He holds memberships in the Milwaukee Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Association for Justice. He also is a voting member of the City of Glendale's community development authority and volunteers for the Meta House.
