Ellison Hitt

Working as an insurance defense attorney at the law firm of Siesennop & Sullivan, LLP, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ellison Hitt serves clients in the Milwaukee metro and the surrounding counties. Her practice area focuses on the following:

A skilled attorney with a decade of experience in the legal field, Ms. Hitt has honed her litigation skills and courtroom demeanor over the years. She is well versed in defending claims against health care professionals like nurses, doctors, chiropractors and therapists; and long-term care facilities such as assisted living, nursing homes and hospice. Licensed to practice in state and federal courts, her clients are primarily from the health care industry. She also represents insureds and insurance companies in professional licensing board matters and civil litigation.

A dean’s list student at Miami University, Ms. Hitt graduated with a double major in mass communications and English – creative writing in 2009. She then went on to earn her law degree from the Marquette University Law School in 2012. While there, she was the class representative of the Student Bar Association, and she was a member of the Health Law Society, the Association of Women Lawyers and the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinics. 

Obtaining her license to practice in Wisconsin in 2012, Ms. Hitt is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the U.S. Supreme Court. 

Ms. Hitt holds a “Very Good” rating on Avvo, for her quality legal representation. She stays connected with the legal community by being an active member of the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association, the State Bar Association of Wisconsin and the American Bar Association. Moreover, she gives back to her community by offering pro bono services through the Wills for Heroes Foundation programs.
