Jill M. Hartley

A partner and shareholder at The Previant Law Firm S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, attorney Jill M. Hartley has been advocating for the rights of employees and labor unions for over 25 years.

Through the years, Ms. Hartley has handled a variety of matters involving fringe benefit funds, labor agreements, affiliations, National Labor Relations Board proceedings, employer bankruptcy, mass layoffs, and other employment and labor law issues.

Ms. Hartley was first admitted to practice before all the state courts of Wisconsin in 1996. She then qualified to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 7th, 8th and 10th Circuits.

Prepared to travel and represent her clients across the nation, Ms. Hartley stays empathetic to her clients’ circumstances when employment-related issues threaten their physical or mental health. She efficiently assesses her clients’ rights and options and settles their legal matters swiftly. She is known among her peers and colleagues for her good customer service and interpersonal skills.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in 1993, Ms. Hartley attended Drake University Law School to pursue her legal education. She was awarded her Juris Doctor with honors in 1996. 

An active contributor to her legal community, Ms. Hartley maintains memberships in several professional associations, including the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association.
