Julie V. Phebus

Attorney Julie K. Vaughn Phebus was born and raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, graduating from Wauwatosa East High School. After high school, Attorney Phebus attended the University of Iowa. As an undergraduate, Attorney Phebus knew she wanted to go to law school and be a lawyer. Therefore, Attorney Phebus participated in student government and mock trial while in college.

Attorney Phebus attended law school at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin. During law school, Attorney Phebus interned with a Wisconsin Supreme Court justice. She also participated in the Neighborhood Law Project which is part of the University of Wisconsin Law School’s Economic Justice Institute. While participating in this program, Attorney Phebus provided free representation to community members struggling with issues related to rental housing, employment, and public benefits.

After graduating from law school, Attorney Phebus returned to the Milwaukee area. Attorney Phebus is a skilled trial lawyer with extensive courtroom experience. For nine years, Attorney Phebus represented insurance companies in litigation before deciding she wanted to switch sides and start helping people who have been injured in crashes get their rightful recovery. Attorney Phebus’ insurance defense experience has given her special insight into how insurance companies operate, value cases, and handle claims. She now uses her vast experience to help her clients get compensated for their injuries.
