Mr. Mingo's practice includes corporate and personal civil defense litigation, plaintiffs' personal injury litigation and business litigation. Mark has tried in excess of 100 cases to verdict throughout Wisconsin and he has briefed and argued cases before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago and United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Mark is a board Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, is AV rated and has been invited to join LCA, the Trial Lawyers Honor Society. - Prevailed in business litigation trial in Dane County involving reformaiton of contract. After trial, and submission of post trial briefs, Court ruled in our favor and granted reformation of contract., 2022
- Contestd motor vehicle accident where I was able to collect policy limits for client and then collect significant undrinsured motorist settloement for client, 2022
- After extensive litigation and motion practice, settled a personal injury case against major hotel chain for $750,000 when insurance company refused to make any offer prior to commencing suit., 2018
- Lawsuit filed against insurance agency for negligence in the type of insurance coverage they recommended for their insured. Insured involved in life threatening accident and was not covered by insurance due to type of coverage recommended by insurance agent. Suit filed and after extensive discovery, case settled in the multipe 6 figures. Errors and Omissions insurer for insurance agency required that the amount of the settlement remain confidential as part of the settlement., 2020
- Rorator cuff tear from motor vehicle accident while client was in the course of his employment. Workers' compensation insurer stopped payment after defense medcial examination and claimed injury was solely due to preexisting condition and liability insurer relied on same medical report. Case settled for full value at $225,000.00, 2022
- Motor vehicle accident case where insurance company's top offer was $15,000. Case placed in suit and at Judge's suggestion case was submitted to formal arbitration hearing with witnesses called live to testify. Arbitrator awarded $181,697.00., 2021
- Obtained substantial bad faith settlement for clients. Insurance company required settlement to be confidential as part of the terms of settlement., 2021
- Folloiwng extensive discovery, obtained confidential settlement against insurance agency for not afvising its client of potential inurance coverage that could have been purchased., 2021
- Argued and prevailed on landmark civil rights case before the US Supreme Court, DeShaney v Winnebago County, 109 S.CT. 998
- Successfully settled Plaintiffs' wrongful death case on behalf of spouse and 3 minors with structured settlement and secial needs trust., 2014
- Tried personal injury case to verdict in week and half trial where offer was $105.000 going in to trial. Jury verdict rendered in amount of 1.1 Million Dollars and no liability on client. Tried defense case to verdict in one week trial where opposing counsel asked jury to award approximately $750,000. Jury verdict in favor of our client, no liabilty and no damages awarded. , 2012
