Stephen Lasky

Stephen Lasky has been an attorney at Moertl, Wilkins & Campbell, S.C., for his entire career in private practice, and he is now a partner in the firm that is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He focuses his practice largely on estate planning and administration, and he represents clients in the greater metropolitan area and throughout the state. Mr. Lasky has been admitted to practice in Wisconsin since 2007, and he is admitted to practice before all Illinois state courts as well.

In his estate planning practice, Mr. Lasky has helped his clients who are interested in preserving and protecting their assets for future generations. In that regard, he regularly prepares and reviews last wills and testaments, living and irrevocable trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. Mr. Lasky also advises his clients that all of these documents should be periodically reviewed, and that certain life events such as a divorce or a birth of a new child or grandchild might necessitate a revision to one or more components of the plan.

Other aspects of Mr. Lasky’s practice have included the representation of heirs, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries in the process of administering a decedent’s estate, and he has also handled sophisticated transactions involving commercial and residential real estate. Mr. Lasky additionally assists many clients with their income, estate, and gift tax planning and return preparation, and in his elder law practice, he works on such matters as Medicaid planning and long-term care solutions. A graduate of Marquette University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude, he pursued his legal education at Marquette University School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2007.
