- Secured a unanimous jury verdict in favor of a chiropractor client following a seven-day jury trial in Waukesha County. The 38-year-old plaintiff had a stroke in the chiropractor’s office immediately following a cervical chiropractic adjustment. At the hospital, the plaintiff was diagnosed with having bilateral vertebral artery dissections at C1-C2. Plaintiff claimed that the chiropractor was negligent and caused traumatic dissections and stroke. The defense contended that the plaintiff had a preexisting, undiagnosed spontaneous dissection, causing headache and neck pain, which is what led the plaintiff to seek treatment from the chiropractor in the first place. Plaintiff though claimed that she had had neck pain for years. The jury found no negligence, 2022
