In 1977, Mr. Swanson obtained a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, then attended the University of Wisconsin Law School to earn a Juris Doctor in 1979. Since then, he has handled Chapter 13 repayment plans, Chapter 7 liquidations, Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 12 farm reorganizations for debtors.
Mr. Swanson is admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Wisconsin, Western District of Michigan and the District of Colorado. In giving back to his community, he has worked with the Mercy Medical Center Foundation, the American Red Cross, Forward Oshkosh, the Center for Community Partnerships, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Alumni Association and the Oshkosh Yacht Club.
