Mr. Yde graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa, in 1986, where he was a Grace Boat Scholar and varsity letter winner in football and wrestling. He then attended Marquette University Law School and obtained his Juris Doctor in 1989. While there, he was a Thomas More Scholar and a Crowley Scholar and Zilber Scholar, and he received the American Jurisprudence award for his excellent academic achievements.

Mr. Yde holds his admission to practice before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the Menominee Tribal Court.

Mr. Yde  has been a Director of the Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin n/k/a Wisconsin Defense Counsel and DRI, the international voice of the civil defense bar.  In 2018, he accepted his invitation to membership with the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys(ADTA).  ADTA's membership is limited to one civil defense trial attorney per 1 million in population in the United States, Canada, France, The United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.  He is an active member of the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Marathon County Bar Association, Wisconsin Defense Counsel, DRI, ADTA and the Wisconsin League of Municipalities.
