Kirk B. Obear founded his Sheboygan, Wisconsin, law firm, Kirk Obear and Associates, with a mission to provide the highest quality criminal defense possible for those charged with any type of misdemeanor or felony offense. Having served more than 10 years in the United States Air Force, attorney Obear understands the merits of hard work and discipline, and he has secured over 100 acquittals, dismissals and amendments to date.

Mr. Obear joined the U.S. Air Force after graduating high school and received a bachelor's degree in psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of Mount Olive in 1990. Mr. Obear then attended the University at Buffalo School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1994.

Following his admission to practice law, Mr. Obear joined the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General's Department, eventually assuming the positions of Chief of Military Justice, Special Assistant United States Attorney and Area Defense Counsel. In recognition for his efforts, Mr. Obear received numerous military awards and honors, including the Meritorious Service Medal in 1999.

As an attorney, Mr. Obear can legally practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the U.S. Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and both the Wisconsin and U.S. Supreme Courts.

With his extensive knowledge and experience of criminal law, Mr. Obear hosts his own radio program, and he teaches criminal defense tactics to other defense attorneys throughout the country. He also remains active in a number of professional legal organizations, including his appointment to the board of directors for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
