Attorney Richard L. Righi is a founding partner of Righi Fitch Law Group, which has law offices in Phoenix, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Honolulu, Hawaii. Over the course of his legal career, Mr. Righi has achieved considerable success defending the rights of contractors, insurance companies, municipalities, and other key stakeholders in complex civil litigation arising from a variety of tortious claims. He has handled cases involving insurance bad faith, personal injury, construction defects, professional malpractice, and more, and he has gained a reputation for his fierce advocacy and unrelenting dedication to those he serves.
As an attorney, Mr. Righi prefers to use mediation and arbitration to help his clients resolve their conflicts and reach favorable agreements as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. A 1989 graduate of Miami University in Ohio, Mr. Righi obtained his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1992, where he was a member of the moot court and Delta Theta Phi. He holds his license to practice in Ohio, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Hawaii, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Districts of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Hawaii. He also holds his admission to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
Mr. Righi has several publications to his credits, and he is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona and Ohio as well as the Maricopa County Bar Association's Construction Law Section, where he once served on the board. He also served as president of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance's Phoenix Chapter. He has also served as judge pro tempore of the Maricopa County Superior Court as well as a discipline hearing panelist with the Arizona Superior Court.
